Who is Rebecca bint Khuzae?

The History

Her birth name is Hoor bint Safaa bint Mohammed bint Hassan bint Alwan bint Salman bint Khuzae.

Her father, the former general Safaa Al-Khuzae, is Iraqi/Swedish. He held several political positions from 1981 until 2003. After the Iraq War, he moved to Jordan and then returned to his political work in Iraq at the beginning of 2004 until the end of 2005, when he submitted his resignation and retired from political life.  He then moved to Sweden and settled there with his family, where his life took a dramatic turn, becoming a businessman managing his family's enterprises in Europe across various commercial fields, including health, care, and construction. In 2010, he assumed a managerial position at one of the Sigerstrom and Svensson factories in Sweden. In 2017, he earned a Master’s degree in Political Science in Denmark. Currently, he holds the position of Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Cultural Integration Association.

Her mother, engineer Georgina bint Khuzae, is Iraqi/Swedish. She is the granddaughter of lawyer Kazem Ahmed Al-Shammari, who served as  the legal advisor and director of the royal protocol for King Faisal II.

His father, Mohammed Pasha (1930-2005), was born in Babylon, the son of Prince Hassan bin Alwan bin Salman bin Khuzae. He owned factories for dates  and other products, as well with date and citrus farms, possessing more than half of the land in Babylon at that time. Mohammed Pasha moved to Italy to complete his university studies in political science. The most significant event occurred in the second year of his studies when he was shocked to learn that his entire family in Iraq had contracted the plague. His uncle prevented him from entering his father's house and hosted him in his own. After the death of his entire family, Prince Mohammed was only eighteen years old. A few months later, he relinquished the title and tribal matters to his cousins and focused solely on trade and the family administrative affairs left behind by his father. Mohammed Pasha left his studies and became involved in commerce. He married his cousin for two years, and after not having children, he married the only daughter of the Baghdad merchant Rashid Pasha. He had six sons and three daughters with his new wife. His properties and businesses expanded, and he became interested in education, health, construction, and inherited trades in citrus, dates, and legumes, the extent of which is difficult for us to assess now. Mohammed Pasha's children valued education, completing studies in medicine, engineering, and law, except for his son Safaa, who was influenced by his father, Mohammed Pasha and completed his studies at the National Security University, later earning a master’s degree in political science.
